The thermometer has a range of up to nearly 1000 degrees Fahrenheit and adjustable emissivity for accuracy in a variety of workplace environments. A color-coded display, audio alarm, and ergonomic design make taking quick and accurate temperature readings of precise areas easier.

The DEWALT thermometer is sensitive to temperatures from -20 to 932 degrees Fahrenheit, so you'll find it suitable for most construction site applications. Because it uses non-contact technology and is programmed to store its readings, you can operate the DEWALT from safe distances and still record maximum, minimum, and average temperatures.
CO71A Carbon Monoxide Detector

CO71A Carbon Monoxide Detector

UEi Test Instruments designed the CO71A Carbon Monoxide Detector to enable easy detection of potentially lethal carbon monoxide (CO) in ambient air. The visual display constantly indicates the concentration of CO in parts per million (ppm) while the audible and visual alarms respond to various threshold levels: Green for 2 to 9 ppm and Amber for 10 to 34 ppm. Once 34ppm is reached, the LED blinks red and an audible alarm alerts the user to the potential danger. CO is a lethal poison produced when certain fuels are burned. It can rapidly accumulate even in areas that might appear well ventilated. Because CO is colorless, tasteless, odorless and non-irritating, and can overcome an exposed person without warning.

Recognizing early warning signs of CO poisoning is sometimes difficult because early symptoms of CO exposure (headache, dizziness, nausea) are nonspecific and may be mistaken for symptoms of other illnesses and frequently produce weakness and confusion, depriving a person of the ability to seek safety. The UEi CO71A includes an easy-to-read backlit display, a low battery indicator, and an extended life sensor.

P3 International P4400 Kill a Watt Electricity Usage Monitor

P3 International P4400 Kill a Watt Electricity Usage Monitor

Empowers You to Save Hundreds on Electric Bills:
Electricity bills are rising. Now you can cut down on costs and find out what appliances are actually worth keeping plugged in. Simply connect these appliances to the Kill A Watt, and it will assess how efficient they really are. The large LCD display counts consumption by the kilowatt-hour, the same as your local utility. You can calculate your electrical expenses by the day, week, month, even an entire year. Also check the quality of your power by monitoring voltage, line frequency, and power factor. Now you will know if it is time for a new refrigerator or if that old air conditioner is still saving you money. Kill A Watt can help you reduce your power bill and will help find power-wasting appliances so you are able to decide whether it is worth keeping them plugged in. For standard 115 VAC appliances only, 15 amps maximum, 125 VAC maximum.

Find Out How Much Electricity You're Using:

The U.S Department of Energy reports that 20% of our electric bills come from items that are left plugged in when they are not in use, or items that are in standby mode. With the Kill A Watt P4400 we can monitor the energy eaters in our homes and cut down our electric bills at the same time. Plug whatever item you want into the device and it will tell you the efficiency of that item by displaying the kilowatt per hour. This device will help you determine which items are costing you the most to run. The Kill A Watt also calculates voltage, line frequency, current, and power factor. You can calculate your electric bill before you even receive it from the electric company.

Test The Quality of Your Home's Power:
But measuring appliance consumption is just the tip of the iceberg. Because it can monitor voltage (Volt) and line frequency it can also test if an outlet is working, or evaluate the quality of the electrical power provided by your utility company. It can detect voltage drops around the house, help to predict brownout conditions or to make sure a new home's outlets are in working condition before escrow closes.
RetroTec Blower Door

RetroTec Blower Door

A blower door is a machine used to measure the air tightness of small to medium size buildings. It can also be used to measure airflow between building zones, to test ductwork air tightness and to help physically locate air leakage sites in the building envelope.

There are three primary components to a blower door: (1) a calibrated, variable-speed fan, capable of inducing a range of airflows sufficient to pressurize and depressurize a variety of building sizes, (2) a pressure measurement instrument, called a manometer, to simultaneously measure the pressure differential induced across the face of the fan and across the building envelope, as a result of fan airflow, and (3) a mounting system, used to mount the fan in a building opening, such as a door or a window.

A variety of blower door air tightness metrics can be produced using the combination of building-to-outside pressure and fan airflow measurements. These metrics differ in their measurement methods, calculation and uses. Blower door tests are used by building researchers, weatherization crews, home performance contractors, and others in efforts to assess the construction quality of the building envelope, locate air leakage pathways, assess how much ventilation is supplied by the air leakage, assess the energy losses resulting from that air leakage, determine if the building too tight or too loose, determine if the building needs mechanical ventilation and to assess compliance with building performance standards.
Pressure Pan

Pressure Pan

The pressure pan is a duct leakage diagnostic tool which is used along with the Blower Door and digital pressure gauge to identify exterior air leakage in duct systems. This technique involves placing a gasketed pressure pan over each register or grille with the air handler fan off and the Blower Door depressurizing the house to a standard reference pressure. A measurement of the pressure between a duct run and the room where the duct register or grille is located provides a quick and reliable indication of whether significant exterior duct leaks exist in that section of the duct system.

The pattern of pressure pan readings allows for quick identification of major leakage sites, and can be used to tell technicians if they have done a good job of air sealing the duct system. Because the pressure pan does not require taping off of registers and grilles, it is an extremely quick diagnostic procedure. This device also allows your auditor to measure the effectiveness of the duct sealing job and identify the before/after percent difference of duct leakage.
